Own Your Means of Production. Own Your Future.
When I started podcasting in 2016, I couldn’t afford Done-For-You services, and even if I won the lottery, I didn’t want to rely on someone else.
I wanted to own my means of production.
After building a home studio, (at the time, in my shoebox-sized bedroom) I loved the freedom to record and publish my ideas at a moment’s notice.
Within a year, my podcast helped me land my dream job at a startup in the Bay Area training executives, SWAT team, stunt actors, and professional athletes from all over the world.
There, I also produced and co-hosted Look Good Move Well with Marcus Filly that went on to do over 1M downloads.
But back then in my bedroom, I spent many nights wishing I could soundboard with someone who “gets it”.
That’s why I’ve poured nearly a decade learning everything I could about podcasting workflows.
And you are why I started Pod Mahal.
I’m the human in your corner when those YouTube tutorials just aren’t doing it.

Let's Talk About What's Really Holding Your Podcast Back
I know exactly what's going through your head right now:
"I should have started this months ago."
You've got the idea. You know your podcast could be amazing. But every time you sit down to actually make it happen, something stops you.
Maybe it's staring at your webcam, trying to sound natural but feeling like a complete fraud.
Or looking around your home office thinking "This doesn't look professional enough."
Or perhaps you've spent another late night fighting with editing software, wondering how everyone else makes this look so easy.
I've Been There. All of It.
That moment when you realize your lighting makes you look like you're recording a hostage video
The crushing feeling of recording for an hour only to realize your audio was messed up
The endless cycle of "I'll launch when..." excuses
That pit in your stomach when you see competitors putting out content while you're still stuck in preparation mode
The quiet fear that maybe you're just not cut out for this
And the worst part? The more you learn, the more overwhelming it gets.
Here's What's Actually Going Through Your Head
The Surface Fears
"I don't know how to edit videos"
"My thumbnails look amateur"
"I keep messing up when I record"
"My home office isn't camera-worthy"
"I sound weird on camera"
"The editing is taking forever"
The Deeper Fears
"What if I run out of ideas?"
"What if I look stupid?"
"What if no one cares what I have to say?"
"Is this just going to be a waste of time and money?"
"My competitors already have better content"
"I'm not willing to do those cringe trending things"
The Real Fear
You're afraid of putting in months of effort, spending thousands on equipment, and still not seeing any real return on your investment.
You're afraid of building an audience that never converts into actual business.
Why This Keeps Happening
Here's what nobody tells you about starting a podcast:
The average show takes 3 years to become a true acquisition channel
Most people quit before episode 7
Your prospects need to consume 7 hours of your content before buying
They'll look for you in 4 different places before making a decision
Every month you wait is another month added to that timeline.
This Is Where Most People Get Stuck
They end up:
Watching endless YouTube tutorials but never feeling ready
Buying expensive equipment that sits unused
Starting and stopping, never building momentum
Getting caught up in vanity metrics that don't lead to revenue
Hiring cheap freelancers who can't capture their voice
Missing out on telling their story in a way that actually converts
Here's What Changes Everything
What if instead of trying to figure it all out alone, you had someone in your corner who:
Has grown shows from 0 to 1M+ downloads
Built YouTube channels to 450K subscribers
Learned from more failed shows than most podcasters ever see
Landed their dream job through podcast relationships by episode 17
Produces dozens of shows and knows exactly what works (and what doesn't)
